✍️ Finding My Fiction Groove: The Two-Year Journey Behind Coming Out of the Dark Side of Love

When I first started writing Coming Out of the Dark Side of Love (CODSL), I didn’t realize I was stepping into a two-year transformation. What began as a story about heartbreak and healing turned into a mirror that reflected every shadow, every spark, and every truth I’d been carrying.

For two years, I wrestled with words that felt too heavy and scenes that felt too raw. I learned to write through exhaustion, through doubt, and through the quiet moments when I wondered if anyone would ever read it. But somewhere in that process, something shifted. I found my rhythm, not just as an author but as a storyteller.

Fiction became my sanctuary. It permitted me to explore emotion without boundaries, to build worlds where pain could transform into purpose. It taught me that healing doesn’t always look pretty; sometimes it looks like rewriting your own ending.

Now, as CODSL is finished and published, I see it as more than a book. It’s proof that persistence pays off, that creative fire can survive even the longest winters, and that finding your groove sometimes means losing yourself first.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in your story, whether on the page or in life, keep going. The breakthrough always comes right after the part that feels impossible.
